The Pi would be great if I were a programmer or trying to learn how to write programs. It is only cool form me to apply certain programs that other people have written or been able to run on there. For me, I see it as being able to use it as a home theater pc to access my multimedia content on my home network. Others might use it to control some robot or equipment, while some might write an Android app with it. Some people might have it display something like a digital signage at a store or something. It is pretty cool that this little device can have so many uses.

What’s a Raspberry Pi?

The Raspberry Pi is a credit-card sized computer that plugs into your TV and a keyboard. It’s a capable little PC which can be used for many of the things that your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word-processing and games. It also plays high-definition video. We want to see it being used by kids all over the world to learn programming.

Where can you buy one?

You can buy the Raspberry Pi through http://www.farnell.com/ and http://www.rs-components.com/raspberrypi. Both distributors sell all over the world.
